About the Author
Brittany Stein is a storyteller at heart, weaving tender romances that explore love, resilience, and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments. An Arizona native, a wife, and the proud mom of two little ones, she penned her first novel in the whirlwind of early motherhood—proof that passion and persistence can bloom even in life’s busiest seasons.
Though she holds degrees in microbiology and biomedical diagnostics, Brittany’s heart has always belonged to storytelling. When she isn’t working or writing, she embraces the joyful rhythm of motherhood. In the kitchen, she delights in cooking and baking, always finding clever ways to slip extra veggies into her children’s favorite meals. In the rare quiet moments to herself, she can often be found with a book in hand or a Netflix series queued up for late-night escapes. These small joys—reading, creating, nurturing—fuel her imagination and remind her that love and wonder are never far away.
Through her writing, Brittany hopes to share that same sense of warmth and possibility with every reader who turns the page.

Our Second Chance
Â
Brittany Stein’s *Our Second Chance* is such an emotional and heartwarming read that really pulls you in from the start. It’s one of those stories that feels real, messy, and hopeful all at once. The writing is easy to connect with, and it makes you feel like you’re right there with the characters as they try to figure things out and face their past.
Â
Caleb is honestly one of the most compelling parts of the book. He comes across as guarded at first, but as the story goes on, you start to see how much he’s been carrying. His struggles feel genuine, and his growth throughout the story is really satisfying to watch. There’s this constant tension between who he used to be and who he’s trying to become, and it makes his journey feel meaningful instead of rushed.
Â
Emily, on the other hand, brings so much warmth and strength to the story. She’s not just there as a love interest she has her own challenges and emotional depth that make her feel like a fully developed character. You can really see her resilience and how much she’s grown, especially in the way she handles her relationship with Caleb. Their dynamic feels natural, with both the sweet moments and the more difficult ones adding to the realism.
Â
What really makes this book stand out is the chemistry between Caleb and Emily. Their history adds layers to every interaction, and you can feel the mix of tension, hurt, and lingering love between them. It’s the kind of romance that keeps you rooting for them, even when things get complicated. Overall, *Our Second Chance* is a heartfelt, engaging read that’s perfect if you love second-chance romances with strong emotional depth.

When Fate Calls

This is the definition of a diamond in the rough. I was creeping on this author's past published books on goodreads and it is crazy to me the lack of reviews. If her past books are anything like this, they deserve much more recognition.
Tropes: Dual POV, friends to lovers, nurse x firefighter, small town romance, slowest of slowburns, closed door
After the sudden loss of her father, Nicole took over the mantle of the family caretaker. With her mom battling depression every day, raising her teenage younger sister, and the heavy weight of her ICU nursing job there is little time left for just her. Insert handsome single firefighter who has been carrying a torch for her for years and she is oblivious but also battling her own reaction to her best friend. Nicole denies herself even an ounce of extra happiness in response to taking over the responsibility of keeping her family above water.
This is one of those romances that I stayed up far past my bedtime to finish. It was ooey, gooey, cinnamon rolly. That probably only makes sense to me, but I stand by it. There was some repetition that was slightly annoying like the argument of "she has too much on her plate, I can't add to it" was just a circular argument then he decided you know maybe it'd be okay.... then 2 chapters later same conversation. Same with the FMC as well. Same conversations over and over again. But overall it didn't take away from how good the story was. With a few tweaks this could easily be a 5 star book.

This book was such a wholesome and heartfelt read. I absolutely loved the story of two longtime friends — a firefighter and a nurse - finally taking the leap and making things official after years of friendship and unspoken feelings. Their chemistry felt so natural and comforting, and I found myself rooting for them from the very beginning.
What really stood out to me was watching her choose herself despite everything going on in her home life and at the hospital. Seeing her finally put her own happiness first and get the happily ever after she deserved made this story feel even more special.
If you love friends-to-lovers romances filled with emotional growth, support, and genuine love, this one is definitely worth reading.
